Interactive fluids animations in AS3. simply WOW!

Recently I found this post by Eugene. It’s very impressive piece of work, that simulates fluids-like behaviors. It’s inspired by original version made in C++ and Processing. Nice one!

TweenLite + Math.random() = :)

TwenLite and TwenMax from GreenSock are well known tweening engines.

I use them in most of my projects now (previously I was using Fuse Kit but there’s no AS3 version).

Here are examples of some fun with TweenLite.to and TweenLite.from random positions.

First it creates shape. It’s just bunch of squares placed in coordinates written in an array.

Then it tweens from random position to this desired coordinates and after some delay, it tweens back to different random positions.

It loops after short delay. There’s also alpha fade in/out parameter.

2 days ago I uploaded my first component to Flashden , it’s accepted and live now !

It’s my first one so nothing really sophisticated but it’s robust video player with nice description tab.

features worth mentioning :

• fullscreen (standard for video players these days but this one nicely animates on resize).

• Html/CSS styled description with links and smooth scrolling loads from external text file.

• modern and clean design (no fancy blinking radioactive buttons).

Hope you will like it and if you do ….. go and buy it!

I already have an idea for next component, it’s gonna be XML driven multimedia (images/video) gallery.

This is my old project. I used small cheap camera that I found on the street of north-east London (there’s plenty of stuff laying around there ).
Flash is randomly loading video clips of each of 4 human body parts to create whole person in (often) strange situations.
Final result is pretty funny! Check it here. Just remember to click red dot to randomize again.

Hello everyone. I’ve been gone for a while but I’m back already.

So…couple of news:

1) I’m moving to a new domain: www.tuff-studio.com
2) Tuff Studio has now alternative non-flash version of website (http://www.tuff-studio.com/alt/work.html). I really enjoyed making this website, it’s HTML and Javascript and it’s theme is obviously based on flash version of website.
I definitely want to learn some more HTML/Javascript/CSS.

3) Just finished some new projects, if you want to check them, take a look at my web and choose one of those: G&V Agency (AS2+TweenLite) , Dorita Nissen (AS3 with dynamic flash browser scroller), and I’m especially proud of Simbioz Records (AS3).

Feel free to share your thoughts about those works.

4) Last but not least, monster from last post finally have name. He’s Frank the Monster now. I really like it, thanks to Chris Green (ireallyamchrisgreen).

If you’ll take a look at the ‘other’ section on my website, you’ll find picture of the monster made on the wall. He came to me when I was painting my studio. Here’s chicken made in the same room.

Monster is part of a happy studio family now. I think he needs to be named, he’s so cute wide smiling creature. Any ideas? I don’t know if it’s girl or a boy. I bet it’s a male monster but who knows? You decide. Post proposals for a name and reveal it’s gender. Are you a monster specialist?
